Our adventure begins

Well it was a long 24 hours but we made it to london. The flights  were really good and i have to give Qatar airways full  credit. The crew were all friendly, legroom was enough even for someone as tall as me! And the food was actually amazing! We both ordered the Vegetarian Jain options which confused the attendants slightly as on several occasions  they tried to give our strict Indian meals to the two ladies in head scarves sitting opposite us :) luckily we got all of our meals and they would have to be the best aeroplane food I have had so far!
After a quick change at doha  where we only had enough time to get to the next gate before we were called to board we made our way to our first stop of London.
We have been here now for almost 2 days. Staying in Greenwich with in the home of a lovely French couple and their baby. Double the bonus, Gerard is a pastry chef and on arrival welcomed us with handmade macaroons  from his work. Last night  he also brought  home a red wine and blackberry cake they had been commissioned to make for a client.
Yesterday we got our first taste of London, as we travelled into the city to see the Tower of London and the tower bridge. These according to Nicola are old but cool lol. We got a castle pass so we can go to 6 castles as often as we want over the next year. At only 70 pound this will work out really well for us :)
I had forgotten  how long they would take to walk around so we pretty much spent most of our day walking around this area and along the river bank. Today we are going to explore Buckingham Palace and Kensington Palace  as well as all of the gardens around them!
Its great to finally be here and starting our adventure!
(We will post some pictures a bit later)

  1. Yay! Wonderful to see pics of you two over there, looks like lovely weather (for England) and what a wonderful welcome - pastry and wine :)
Great to see the castle pics but Shaun the sheep wins hands down with Amber and Aimee Tx
